My oil sump has been leaking for a while now so I put a new sump gasket in.also my main seal has been replaced not long ago.but there is still an oil leak around the sides and bottom of the gearbox.any ideas what this might be.

Also check dizzy seals. When they go oil runs down the back or the motor.

Can I clean it without taking the gearbox out.it won't hurt it if I spray decreased in the housing.

At it. Not in it. Try to avoid the electrics as well

It's coming from inside the gearbox where the metal plate cover is,that covers your fly wheel. And it's definitely engine oil

Even one tablespoon of oil is enough to make a mess but not enough to notice down on the dipstick. Engine oil coming out of the bottom of the bellhousing is a leaky rear main seal as has been said a few times already.
