I've regreased my manual hubs ( first time ), and now I'm having a go at the regreaseing the front wheel Bearings.
BUT I'm having trouble with loosing the wheel bearing lock nut.
Is this normally difficult to loosen or am I just being to gentle with it be my first time having a go at it.
Ive inserted a picture to show what stage i'm at. This is the passenger side , so i'm turn that nut anticlockwise - correct???
Also what's that circlip holding.
Peter

circlip holds the driveshaft in
the nut is tight cause the wheel bearing is a unity setup and cant be adjusted, dont even really think you can grease them

you can re-grease them. they are funny in that they have a plastic cage...not metal. just get a good thick pin punch or drift and hammer away at the locking collar....but not like a girl though ....oh and people...these vit locking collars can be adapted to sierras....no more tags breaking etc...

And if you are like me, you can also remove them from your coily, throw them in the bin and go back to a hex nut.
