nope my diff has been moved forward a fair bit and the tyre touches the headlight
first. i now have this setup in my LWB and it is still working fine.

i threw it in the bin.  the bottom had rusted out off it so it was cactus anyway.

what is the purpose of the charcoal canister anyway? does not having it affect the performance/reliability of the car?
i too am looking at doing this...

just hang a plate up the side of the tray and bolt the cannister on there

It's also a safe way for the tank to breath a lil, a filter on a breather in a way..

i disconected the line that goes the tank and put a breather into the back of the car and
the left over carby vac line was just blanked off.
