Was there a thread on the subject of fitting front Vit seats in a Sierra a little while back? I think it was on AZ, I've tried to search but can't find it. If anyone knows or has done the Vit seat swap, can you let me know? I have a non-internet using zook mate who wants to put Vitara seats into his 85'ish model Sierra & would like some tips/info. Cheers

That was me who did that post. It will not work the Vitara seats are about 10 cm to wide.
If you cut them down or make a braket for them to sit ontop of the wheel arches then they will work.
I tryed it and in the end I gave up. I am going tt make it just a 3 seater with just one Vitara seat in the rear so my son can come from time to time.
But to answer you direct question with a direct answer. No they will not fit directly. But they could be modified. Simple fix is to get some sierra seats and get them refoamed to make the mmore comfortable...

They will fit, but they are tight, and will prob sit higher than original seats due to spastic seat base.
To be honest they aren't even good seats. Just about any seat from a jap sports car is better/ more comfortable.

Thanks Fatzook, & yeah I agree. I'd never thought Vit seats as an improvement for comfort... but I guess he's got them now. At least they should be an improvement on the old ones that had no head rests
