For Sale. I hope it is ok to post this here. Let me know if not ok.

This engine, 4 speed auto gearbox, front diff unit and transfer case was removed as a complete unit from a repairable write off vehicle. The car was hit in the rear bumper causing little damage but the insurance company decided to write it off for some reason.

The car was a one owner vehicle driven by a lady driver, it had 123436Kms when accident occurred. The assembly was removed as a complete unit with all electricals properly unplugged etc. No wires were cut and the engine/transmission has not been separated. All pipework and open ports were blanked off.

The original ECU will be provided. The Vin number of the car was JSAJTAA4V00300649 and the engine number is J24B1253457.

It is known that Suzuki had problems with blocks and sometimes heads cracking due to casting problems in the earlier versions of this engine. This applied mainly to vehicles manufactured in 2009/2010. Suzuki updated the engines when these problems became apparent, this particular engine is most definitely the updated version of the engine where these issues were eliminated and was running and driving perfectly at the time of the accident.

All services have been completed and I have the original service books and manuals.

The engine comes complete with all accessories such as starter motor, alternator etc . The complete setup can be installed straight into the vehicle with only the aircon needing regassing.

The complete unit is strapped to pallet and I can place on trailer or ute.

$5000 cash or bank deposit only. This is inclusive of engine, auto gearbox, differential, transfer case and original service books as a complete unit ready to bolt in.

I purchased this repairable write-Off vehicle at auction to replace the engine in my 2010 Grand Vitara, however I received an offer too good to refuse for my existing vehicle that included the A-Frame so as I had sold my motorhome and didn't need the car anymore I never got to install it. Will attach photos soon.

Located in Sunbury, Victoria. May be able to arrange for local delivery or transport if further distance required, at buyers expense.

I don't think you want to go there - in a nut shell, you're going to be swapping a heck of a lot more than you anticipate - Gen3s have way more electronics than a Gen2 does, and the various electronic controllers are not happy if they can't see the "other controllers that they need".

So - if the ECU doesn't see the immobilizer, ignition switch & key, the J24 doesn't start, if it doesn't see ABS/BCM/etc - it acts up. Of course you could go aftermarket on your electronics - ECU, TCU, 4WD Controller...
