Hi all, I am in need of some help please. I have an engine light showing on the dash of my 2000 Jimny - when I did the paperclip across pins 2 and 4 on the OBD, it is flashing 1 4, indicating a high signal from the water temperature sensor or an open circuit/ bad ground. I'm waiting on one of Rhinopower's ECU readers to arrive, but until then, this is the most info I can get.
Since the light has shown I have replaced: Temp sensor, thermostat, viscous fan, radiator, battery (went dead), alternator belt and water pump as all were pretty old.
This first happened when changing the power steering/ air con belt.
I have also tested the circuit and all seems to be working well - no bad ground or open circuit and the temp sensor is functioning as it should, showing readings consistent with where they should be at relevant temperatures.
Would anyone have any experience with such an issue, or know what to do/ try next?
