engine looks interesting - what is it?

Who knows but that’s a nasty install judging by the ecu on the firewall, air filtration system etc.

Looks like a Gti. Throttle body facing the firewall too, so its definitely out of a fwd car.

Is it even suzuki? Toyota perhaps 4age? I’ve seen pics of some which look closely similar to that

Edit: similar but not the same?

I think it’s a 1.5l Hyundai excel motor. (Saw one in an offroad race buggy ad today and recognised it.

GTI faces the other way, thats why it is used so much.

If Hyundai, I wonder how they went about adapting the gearbox, it appears Suzuki. Interesting.
