HD clutch put in 18months ago.

Went through a deep puddle 5months ago and got some water in cabin, spring started to develop surface rust, started spraying it weekly with lithium spray. Now I have the worlds heaviest clutch and sometimes it is hard to put into gear (not sure if that is related to the hard clutch or if I need to replace bush below gearstick, but its 1st or second usually)

Options?
Adjust clutch cable ? Grease cable? replace cable?
Disassemble clutch pedal and remove spring, replace with new one or soak current one in oil/grease?

Anything else?
