Fixed the lack of lights by stealing the HIDs off my wife's car, hopefully she doesn't notice haha Reflected light does suck. Good work on the fix

I couldn't get the HIDs to work properly so just did what everyone else does and bolted a light bar on. Drove a few 100km last night and it worked ok but would like a bit more distance. Still very happy with the car and no issues except that I need a bit more belly height.

It doesn't seem to mind the lack of articulation, as long as one wheel is on the ground it seems to keep moving forward. The traction control works very well.

I may have missed it if you mentioned it... is this automatic or manual?
Maybe all rock steps look the same but a few in the pics looked familiar.

Well every track except for the big step but I don't think it is drivable any more. All other top end photos are on private property, car is manual.

That is impressive. I think the big step is doable maybe for a long car with some track building.
Will you be installing lockers or are you happy with the trac control?

The only way it will get lockers is if I stick dayna 60s under it and the only way it will get 60s is if I do a hemi swap. All very possible Especially as I am sure I have found a gold filled honey hole, just waiting on a new sluice to turn up so I can recover the gold

Had a awesome day cruising around Margeret diggings and Springhill goldfields. Got a bit stuck in a little creek but the winch pulled it out easily Drove up a dry creek for a few km and found a good spot to take my sluice. Hopefully my new sluice will be here on Monday so we can give it a tryout on Tuesday.

Sounds like that smart fella Ball has a lot of work ahead of him.

Turns out that it is pretty easy to upload photos to AZ. Over the last couple of days I have fitted a snorkel, removed the crappiestly fitted UHF, made a good start on a second battery and fitted a 46L auxiliary fuel tank.

I can see why arb wanted $2K to fit the tank, holy crap it was a mission.
Now has about 120L fuel capacity, suspension is next, have ordered 2" king springs and repco shocks. If I end up with 1-1.5" lift I will be stoked. At the moment I only have 30mm between diff and bump stop so even stock height will be an improvement

New springs have turned up and as a bonus they are colour coded. They were very cheap so will be interesting to see how they go.

Decided that I couldn't be bothered doing much today so went for a drive instead of fitting suspension

Suspension is in, haven't measured the difference yet but it doesn't look like to much lift.
Rides really nice which is a surprise seeing as I got all the bits from repco for about $400

Also I had to chuck the side step things away as they didn't like hitting the ground very much. Sliders and flat flares are next

Easiest car to service especially after the last two Suzuki's I have owned. Takes longer for the oil to drain then to change the oil filter.
Getting it ready for a 12000km trip in 3 weeks. Still an awesome car.

All I have done is bolt a table to the tailgate.

Out of the two which one do you prefer? I know they aren't really comparable but which one is the favourite?

They are two very different cars but stick the 3.0 diesel and 8 speed in a wrangler and it would be my perfect car.

Yeah I don’t think we will get the 3.0 in a 2 door. The JT doesn’t interest me for the same reason cruiser Utes suck in the bush.
