Hi again. I have another question I am sure has been asked a few times before and I have read a few older posts on the topic but i can't seem to find a product /solutions for front recovery points on the NGV. The most comon solution seems to be fit an ARB bar and bolt the recovery points to that. I have an ecb alloy bar so not really keen on that idea.

What do you all think of using the loops under the front and an equiliser strap ?


So if anyone can help out with a safe solid cost effective option that would be cool.

I've never used the loops on the front. This guy had this made for hie ecb bulbar. He is still active on that forum, maybe you could pm him for more details. Some light reading,

Thanks Zooks that that is a serious bit of equipment He has made up. Do you use anything on your zook for recovery? Should I just be sticking with the treads and look at a stronger bar down the track a little ? I don't plan on taking it anywhere crazy but I like to be prepaired as best I can.

I have used the loop on the back in the past. But now I have the winch at the front and towbar at the back. I also carry treds shovel etc. if it's just for beach work I wouldn't worry

Cool that puts my mind at ease. I have treads a shovel and a tow bar and I grabbed one of those hitches with the d shackle that slips into the towbar. So I suppose if I get properly stuck I could be snatched out backwards ?

Backwards is usually the way to be snatched out, it's much easyer to pull a car out the way it came in , than through .

If you have your treads shovel snatch strap compressor and deflator plus a rear recovery point, then a front point isn't essential , it's more of a handy thing to have should the need arise . But I wouldn't see to many times it would be needed on a beach.

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like I have it covered for now. I want to expand my wheeling experience a bit as time goes on and explore a few more places so I will look into a winch bar down the track a bit and pick one that has some sort of recovery point on it.


If anyone wants to swap bars or is looking for an ECB ALLOY bar let me know.
