Has anyone fitted -22 offset rims to there gv and do they stick past the flares too much or are they just right?

I'm more interested in what sort of rims you are planning to put on regardless of the offset, as most don't fit over the front callipers without a bit of a tickle from a grinder.

0 offset has them pretty much flush depending on the tyre.
-22 will hang waaay out there, you'll need rubber flares etc for sure.

Someone is selling a set of 16x7 -22 king steelies cheap.

Would you have problems with the tires rubbing on the arches during flex because there soo far out?

Is it just me? or does anyone else recognize that a discussion on offset is meaningless without the rim dimensions.

And likewise, the tire size?

No it wasn't just you, I thought the same. However I just assume 7 inch wide rim when no one says the size.

If it was me I would just run them and find out. I think -22 7 inch wide is a great size. You might need body lift or a grinder to get them to fit. I plan to run -25 on a 8 inch rim with a 30.6 inch tire and it should fit.

Are you going to run that on a Vit or gv? 8in wide is very boarder line for a 245 tyre best 265+. Sounds like your talking 245/75/16 for a gv rather than 31x10.5x15 for a vit. For that I would be going 16x7 -13 rim will fit nicely. That width and offset will have you hitting the arches on compression unless you do bump stop or body lift spacers. That offset on an 8in is like -30 on a 7in. You have to take into account stock width and offset to compare another rim. A wider rim will have more offset than a skinnier rim in relation to tyres sticking out but won't help much clearing the chassis.

Safe to assume a -22 offset is going to hang well and truly out the guards on a GV regardless of rim/tyre sizes. Pretty simple I thought.

I'd keep looking personally mate, cops around here will have a field day otherwise. Speaking of flares, you are welcome to come grab the rubber flares I had on my old bus if you want them as they will just be going to the scrap heap otherwise.

Will be a 265 70 r16

Will hang well and truly outside, but no care. Have body lift and a angle grinder for fitment

I believe that assumption would be incorrect.

I'm running a 16x7 Enkei with a 5mm offset on my GV - and the rim/tire is well inboard of the flare - I'd say a 16x7 with a -22 offset will still be inboard of the flares.
