3mm, with supports made from welded on sections
a big heavy plate can take load, buta thiner plate with bracing in the right places can take more, and weighs less

i measured the protrusion of the chassis raill and 130 flat bar would be prefect... not sure about thickness though. i was going to have it overlap the chassis rails - 700mm long and weld plates on the end and on the inside of the chassis rail and bolt it up with 4/M12's each side with 75x75 gusset's on the inside of the rails, centered in-between the mounting bolts....
not sure what that will weight with a winch though.... already have coil spacers in the front.(15mm)

with cable a 9-12K LB winch is ~40KG, 30Kg or so with rope. wouldnt expect more then 10KG of steel to be involved, with a ARB winchbar only weighing in around 30kg with wings, hoops and all

yea i'll weigh the winch and steel seperate before i bolt it all up..
its only a 4000lb winch so it only feels like maybe 10-15 kg......

I'd say an ARB winch bar would weight a fair bit more than 30kg's as that's what my 1/2 bar weighs & that is pretty light duty as there is no bracing for a winch or hoops.
