Sure- BL's don't compromise suspension behaviour at all and don't raise COG as much as the equivalent suspension lift. A car with 2"+2" can run a bigger tyre with more stability and better handling than a car with 4" of suspension lift.

In fact, it would be interesting to run cable ties on your shock shafts to see how much up travel you generally use. I bet it's less than you think.

Steve. Wasn't Piggles at one stage BL and cut? Trying to convince my mate to build his up that way, (well in regards to the cut guards and BL, don't need suspension mods, apart from maybe OME or other softish springs and RUF IMO). Infact he could fab as much as he wanted, which coincidentally never seems to be all . Realistically I reckon 31s-33s would do the job for a general off road setup here, we aren't building crawlers, need something that retains highway manners and can plug (unfortunately ) the mud we have, as well as roughish roads..

Oh, totally- piggles is cut pretty hard. - depending on the tyre size, it's all about bumpstop spacing, BL and lots of cutting. Suspension lift is kept to an absolute minimum.

It would be worth the OP having a read of probably the best jimny build thread on here - 31zook's Green Goat. Only 40mm of suspension lift and bumpstop spacing and guard chop to suit 31s would be awesome to drive!

Also fitted rear Spartan locker and took it for a test drive over the weekend, BIG difference than standard and really happy with how it performed Will post photo as soon as i work out how to!?!

Thanks guys. I am loving the ride height and how it handles off road yeah it lifts wheels but its fun . We will probably remove the front sway bar when my husband gets a chance to play around underneath it his been a bit busy with the GU (our long distance toy). I NEED HELP WITH THESE 6.5 GEARS Do I need to mod the low range stick to go from the sierra transfer so it works in the Jimny?

if you actually think about it, it seems pretty logical to me...
2" suspension lift + 2" body lift leaves the heavy shit like engine, gearbox & transfer case where it is. = slightly raised COG & 4" suspension lifts all the heavy shit = raised COG

Yep. Solves tire clearance issues somewhat for those of us who are welder and thin metal challenged.
Edit: without doing silly stuff like spoa or making sky scrapers.

I run 235s with 50mm lift,if I can get grip I can get out of it/climb it.I run coopers stt mud tires and other than being a shit to balance and noisy on highway good rubber. The point is? I don't agree about gearing on jimny, but then I need to drive mine home at end of play/day.

Coopers are crap. Why does gearing mean you can't drive it home?

Based on the other thread, where he was wanting a 6 speed gearbox to get the cruise rpm even lower, after fitting 235/75s to his jimny.
I think its safe to assume he currently knows very little about jimnys, gearing and the effects of increasing tyre size. And he appears arrogant enough to think suzuki's initial gearing selection is wrong, and that others are wrong too.
His point in this thread was a "?" Followed by irrational logic of needing poor gearing to drive home.
Which I can only deduce that he is a luddite.
