Hello all, bought just Suzuki Jimny year 2010 with M13A engine. I like to adjust ignition timing 5 degrees earlier, cause I use ethanol (RE85) fuel. How to adjust ignition timing earlier on this engine?
Please help me - Thank you.

I don't know enough about computer management to give advice but I don't think it can be adjusted manually. I think it would involve some sort of ECU remapping.

I would expect the ECU to sort that out by itself if it is designed to run on ethanol. I don't have to adjust the timing in my Holden when I use ethanol fuels.

^85% ethanol is a fair bit different to 10%. Whats it say inside the fuel cap/ manual for the car??

(im assuming jimnys sold where there is 85% available may be made suitable standard)

I doubt if it can take 85%. I have a 2009 model and neither the manual or the fuel cap say anything about ethanol fuels. I expect the 2009 model is not suitable for the 10% ethanol.
