Read lots about 16B's into Shorties Vitaras and Sierras etc.

I'm curious if anyone has taken a V6 from a LWB Vitara and dropped it into a SWB Vitara?

Saw this in Thailand, it can be done. Might be hard to get it engineered here though...

if you're going to do it, might as well use the 2.5 or 2.7.... it's going to be a huge job to get it done though.

Ive been thinking about doing this swap into my SWB Soft-top, this or something else, still undecided.

I have no plans do do this... Was just curious and I reckon it would be pretty kool

have a read in this thread. its a 2.3L (J23 i think) seems to make good power (155hp) and look like a j20 so a cop wouldnt know the difference.

There's a guy over on Zukiworld dropped the H27 from an XL-7 into a 3dr Sidekick, so yes, it can be done - I think his biggest problem was sorting out the wiring and getting two or three computers to talk to one another.

Do we get them 2.3 litre motors over here? I could do with 155HP in the short one :D

it's only 20 odd more horses than the J20a & i don't think we got them.

Will a j20head fit on a j24 block
the 2l vits must have a higher hood as u need a bl to clear the top of the motor
i needa body lift to clear the j20 and gv rad

correct, the whole front clip is different on the SV.

tried running the strut brace?
