Argh update time!
So I got my Chinasoong RD88 and took it and my diff centre in to Hart Transmission in Brendale to fit.
Looks like they did a good job, and had it back to me the next day. They replaced all the seal and everything too ($400 all up for those interested).
Now I'm trying to install it and having dramas. The diff goes back in fine, and the driver side rear axle fits in no worries, but the passenger side won't. It's sticking out a little way.
Tried pulling it all out and trying to work out what's wrong, but haven't had any joy. Re-installed... Same issue.
Do I have to cut a bit off the axle? I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue.
Only possible issue I can think of is that I'm not sure if the long cross shaft is meant to sit between the 2 axles or not... Mine is, and it may be what is stopping the axle going all the way in?
