My sister did three years in lightning ridge as a ambo officer... oh the stories of injury from the many lovely "constructions" by the local opal miners ...

And your engineering degree was earned at ???????? and do I come to you place of work and tell you how to sweep the gutter? pompoms

Incidental - You are not invited.

Most of the cars that go up there will not be working so for $80 including postage it makes the job easy - I thought I might have to double pull but that LJ is loaded with spare parts like a couple of axles and an engine and it pulled it up without much trouble :D

love the bush engineering! good work

i have a car hoist in my shed which cost me $3455 more than your ramp, but i still want something like that i can run the 4wd's up after a muddy workout and hose the undeneath standing up, so it's gotta be outdoors thing

the one i (eventually) build will need to hold 3 tonnes of cruiser tho.... 8O

This one would hold it - A lot of the bracing is under the ground

That area under the ramp accessible? could be a good place for storage/shelving

It looks like the dirt removed from the pit, was used as fill for the ramp- so no storage space underneath.

I saw a similar set-up down Grafton(NSW) way a few years ago, friends from Sydney were looking to buy a property in the area and commented on the ramp and rails set up,Real Estate guy said it was an inspection/work area for the property's vehicles.I started talking to the owner whilst the agent was with with my friends and i commented it seemed a bit high for underbody work,he then said he worked on vehicles in the shed and that ramp was where he put the vehicles when it flooded with that "damm city slickers" look on his face.
