What I need from v6 GV owners is the spline count in the inner section of the outer CV
This varies. stock and aftermarket are different and then there are 2 types of each of these..... Oh well, looks like early Vits are catered for.............GV's........well............... Nah, no allowed to call dead horse on the GV!!!! Will go to the wreckers & buy the shit if I have to, just send me a list of what you need because I for one WANT a set for my GV...... going to the mines this friday. Would appear money wont be so much of a problem...

Yes that would be possible I'm sure, though I don't know why you'd need one, as long as you've got a steel carrier they're pretty strong, unlike the alloy one.

wrboy89 wrote: building a front diff to suit a rear vitara centre this is actually a very good idea, a complete rear 3rd is gunna cost the same or less than the steel housing alone, not to mention the cost of getting a R+P professionally installed: $400+ or the time and skills it takes to do it yourself The rear R&P gears are also alot larger than the fronts and anyone considering this kit is certainly going to be running tyres capable of blowing a vitara front diff. would also be handy as a spare when you blow your rear diff 500ks from home designing this kit around a vitara rear is an obvious choice really..

I run a 4.6 Vit front ring and pinion in the front of my LJ with 33's and sometimes 35's, I haven't had a problem with it in 9 years.

Pezz, I know I could bust it, just ask Joe, he gets me to test stuff for a reason, in saying that I've run 35 silverstone extremes on 1lt cv's in the vic high country and not busted them, it's about how you drive, not just what you drive. And no I don't pussy foot around with it.
