Morning all
yesterday afternoon i started to fit my bfg km2 30 x 9.5 which are on speedy -15mm offset 15x 7's.
i always knew my OME 2" lift was pretty low, so i figured i would likely have to do more work before actually ruining these tires.
my question is what will be the best way to prevent or minimize scrubbing? could i use a combination of body lift spacers and coil spacers to get 'enough' or should i rely just bite the bullet and get a new full suspension kit?

at the moment the tyre on full lock snags the front body mount support

and also at the back of the wheel arch the seam that the plastics clip onto

30's, don't you need like 5" of lift to run those on a jimny?

5" for 235's.
So probably 7" for 30's

I intend on chopping the guards sorry. should have mentioned that.

maybe some extended bump stops? that way will keep wheels away from inner guards when fully flexed, but then you lose a bit of flex

Been for a drive today. breaking will take a bit of geting used to. the car scrubbed just going over gutters...
i dont think there's anything i can do about the body mount bracket. going to give the jimny bits 50mm body lift and F/25mm R/15mm coil spacers a go, test everything and see how much difference it makes. panhard also on order.

Coil spacers won't make any actual difference to tyre clearance. You'll have more room with the car at rest, but once you flex the car up the tyres will hit just the same.

Bumpstop spacers, cutting guards or body lift clear tyres.

I wouldn't add a body lift in your case.

Guard chop is on the list of things to do, just trying to figure out how to keep the inner plastic guards in place as the retaining points will disappear. want to minimize the amount of mud getting right up inside the panels. i looked at the big jimny chop pdf but cant see if they just chuck the inner plastic guard, so if anyone has some photos of what they have done id appreciate it.

if i go with the body lift, ill be going without the roof pod which will probably go on a trailer

I'm not 100% sure but I think you can't do a body lift in airbag compliant cars

i have 30s on 15x7s Neg0 rims. on a 50mm lift they fit, but i did need to chop my front guard and rear guard out to fit everything.

my build is in the rigs section with all pictures....

So you didn't put the inner plastic guard back im guessing? One of my mates warned me against not putting the guard in, keen to see what others think.
I noticed you moved your diff forward too, 15mm or so? how was this done as i may need to do the same, or look at longer trailing arms. the tyres really need to move forward.

Mine didn't come with the plastic guard and I 3-linked the front end of mine...
