Both outer CV boots on my 2000 GV Sports Edition are split and require replacement. The boots have been split for a maximum of 2000km and most of the time the vehicle has been on tarmac. Local Suzuki dealership are quoting a fix with following parts/materials involved ( about $400 in labour on top of this )
snap ring x 2 $12.86 boot set x 2 $ 338.66 washer x 2 $ 15.06 seal x 2 $ 43.40 oil x 2 $ 30.00
They also indicate the following alternative involving replacement of the driveshafts with change over units ( about $300 labour to fit the replacements) change over drive shafts $400.00 oil $ 30.00
I'm no expert here but this seems a bit extreme for 2 split outer CV boots. I rang a local workshop which advertises as a CV specialist and they quoted $125 per side to replace outer CV boots.
So I am confused, obviously I would like to spend as little as possible but at the same time don't want to spend so little that I get a poor job. Anyone else, particularly in Adelaide, got any recommendations/advise.
Thanks in advance

any good driveshaft/cv shop will be able to replace the boots without a drama, what side of town are you on?

sounds like they dont understand that its just the boots that are stuffed, not the CV itself.
Ive replaced many CV boots (for other cars), and its generally been under $100 to replace all 4 rubber boots (excluding labor, its a pretty easy DIY job)
edit: reread your post, $384 for 4 bits of rubber boots? tell him he's dreamin. They are $11 each on ebay.

pretty sure they'll be able to sort it out for you & at a fraction of the cost that suzuki quoted you.
