Hi all I been searching with little results, at 70kmh my poor Jim felt like it was going to explode around me as soon as I speed past 70 there is no shakeing. I jacked the Jim up and found the passenger front wheel wobbles in and out, I figured wheel bearing until I found out Jim kingpins are an issue also. There is also a lot of dirty grease all around the passenger side hub, the drivers side is clean.
How can I tell the difference between kingpin and wheel bearing? Cheers
King.pin: the swivel hub will move in relation to the housing. Wheel bearing: the hub will move in relation to swivel hub. Easier to tell with caliper off. Put simply.

jack up the front of the vehicle check for play pushing and pulling from side to side (as if the wheel was a clock face push on 3 oclock then push on 9 oclock) this is bearing play, during this get your mate to hold onto the tie rod ends if he feels a click then your steering linkage might need some attention. while its still in the air do the same procedure but at 12 oclock and 6 oclock this is the kingpins and swivel housing play. i would suggest on getting a full swivel housing rebuild kit at about 80$ its a cheap and long term insurance, you''ll need lithium based grease as well as moly for the swivel housing, if your axle seals have let go i.e. causing oil in your grease and grease in your oil youl need to replace that too. be prepared they are a kinder surprise you'll never guess wats inside!
