Ok joe crazy idea for today Would this work Sierra hub Sierra cromo cv Custom 300m axle with spline all the way except for where boot clamps on Custom internal spline pipe same size as free wheel hub end(slip joint) Another sierra cromo cv with the slip joint on it maybe circlip of some kind Custom 300m axle out of cv straight into diff My thinking is the internal cv has only like a 25deg operating angle fron wat ive read on the net The out side one has 40 deg By the time u get rid of the bolt on flange and cup cv ur axle length from pivit point to pivit point would be longer and with the better inside cv U should have a lot more down travel to play with if u can get enough movement in the slip joint If people are breaking hub bolts first then with 300m axle u should be pretty safe Do u think it would work

OK Joe, I have another work bonus due so can you sort out a price for me for a GV front custom housing to suit a sierra carrier and my vitara 5:12 centers. In this put an airlocker and on the ends the uni joint cv replacements When the next bonus comes in or first one for next year, full floater for the rear Cheers Dave p.s how close are the GV bars???!

Not Yet. I have been refining the design. My PC crapped itself a while ago and now I have a rebuilt number with solidcam on solidworks. This allows me to simulate the machining process after I have modeled it. Then its just a matter of feeding the program into the machining center. I'm hoping the MC will be here around Xmas, then it will be a couple of months setting it up and upgrading power.
In the meantime, for all you full float ordering type people, I'm slaving away cutting splines the good 'ol' fashioned way......on a manual machine

Would be nice but no signing up yet. A few more images with some Vit and Sierra components modeled up. Seems I have run out of Vit spindles........so that model will have to wait. Gives you an idea of how it will look on the Vit front end though.
