So some of you may have read my build thread and saw that a bolt in my rear trailing arm had fallen out. This lead to the diff pivoting to one side.
In the act of this happening, my rear tail shaft was inevitably forced out of the back tail shaft.

I inspected my car and came to the conclusion no major damage occurred.
Whilst relocating my rear diff, I had a play with adjusting the heim joint for my driveshaft angle. Once the car was back up and running, I took her for a drive and found driveline vibrations. Reset the heim joint to all the way in (previous setting before accident that worked fine) and still have vibrations.

It occurs at low speed and only when accelerating.
Today I Put the car on stands and started the car in first. I looked underneath and noticed the drive shaft had an obvious wobble.

Is this normal ? Can you tell if the shaft is bent without a plumb? Could it be a bent pinion flange? Could the diff be twisted and not running true (car drives straight, so that rules that out?)

Or could it be my driveline angle playing a part in this wobble?

NOTE: now I do feel like I have answered my own question. But, I would like confirmation.

If the tail shaft has a wobble then that will be your vibration. I assume it is a hairdressers car, lwb or swb?

Have you checked the uni's for smooth movement and NO play?

This is common with Calmini kits and SWB vitaras as far as I know.

As an experiment, chuck HEAPS of weight in the back to make the car sit a couple of inches. I bet the vibration will go away. It's caused by mismatched uni angles. Lowering the transfer case would help, as would raising the motor.

You might be able to adjust it out with the heim joint on the A arm.

Yeah, looks to me like your pinion is pointing too far up - I think you were on the right track with winding the heim out a bit.

After the rear steer moment I wouldn't be surprised if something else was twisted though. Try string-lining your driveshaft, or take it to a shop to have it re-balanced?
