Hi guys just wanted to know when fitting 6.5.1 geared wt transfer into Jimny....
Are the mounts and brackets the same?
Shifter the same?
Are wt front shafts needed or can use jimny ones?
I am contemplating using low range offroad hd case mount. On their site it says basically will be stronger but a pain in the ass to fit!? Has anyone used one and if so how hard was it to fit the case... Is it worth the hassle?
Must confess... I am a lazy bastard so easy is better!

Don't quote me, but I'm near certain the ORA mounts would be strong enough.. They look the same material as the beefed up stock mounts I got for mine, and if you snap them, you got bigger problems :)

searching on this site finds what your after.

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=30820

you need a fitting kit sierra and jimny transfer case mounts are different.

you will need a front WT driveshaft and a WT jack shaft (gearbox to transfer)

your transfer case will need to be a WT one or have a WT output flange. ( the fitting kit will need that flange to fit the speedo sensor gear on)

shifters are different i belive.

the ORA fitting kit is about $450. it comes with almost everything you need mounts, bushes, speedo gear, and instructions.
there are others that make a kit too RockWatt makes one also

you will need to supply

WT Tranfercase
WT Front Driveshaft
WT Jack shaft
Jimny Speedo sensor (already on the jimny you pull it off)
Manual Hubs wth adaper ring (optional)

if your case has the gear selector switch which id presume it would at least have the switch there. you will need to mod the jimny wiring to accomodate for it so you dont have flashing 4WD light and so your vacuam hubs work also.

Or switch to manual hubs, (inwhich you will need an adaper ring to fit)

and you will need to bend up pretty radically the Sierra gear stick

33,s are the plan. Running 31,s now with the trialjimny 24% reduction which is great for everything except the steepest technical stuff that must be crawled. A little more hp would fix that I reckon and that's what I am currently chasing with k+n air filter and extractors/2" high flow exhaust. If this isn't enough I am a little stumped on how to squeeze a little more from the g13bb without resorting to baleno bottom end or big $ turbo/supercharger setup? Any ideas would be much appreciated! The 33,s are a pipe dream at the present just gathering info and possibly parts if I can find them at the right price.

More power is good for those bursts of wheel spin often needed.
Depending on exactly Wat u drive but 4.9 is prob heaps that way ur high range is still good aswell

I think from what I've read of the Sierra guys with 6.5s that you'd be advised to install some king of case reinforcement to stop the transfer from tearing apart... or something like that.

As far as I'm aware the WT transfer didn't include a drum handbrake.

Correct. No WT transfer has a drum handbrake.
