OK I am old and dumb and I have searched (No good at that).
SJ40 - Drum brakes all round - Fronts bleed fine - Rears just don't want to clear - I have tried with a vacuum pump bleed and it just sucks air around the thread - I have tried with a non return vale bleed pipe and with just a plain pipe I seem to get fluid with that but only a tiny bit and the brake peddle does not go to the floor because the front brakes are operating - Bloody duel brake systems. I have never had to bleed one of these before and am going nuts.
WTF am I doing wrong or not doing right or at all?
HELP!

Are they new cylinders on the rear? Sometimes old ones get corroded or full of dirt in the bottom of the bleed nipple. Pull the nipples right out and check they're clear. You could even try pumping the pedal with the nipple taken out. It's also possible you have a bad hose somewhere that's not allowing fluid to flow

I'd be checking everything is right in there. Frustrating I know but it's possible something went in backwards or something silly like that.

It is a dual brake system - If the rear fail because a pipe burst them the front still work but how do you bleed therear if the front brakes are working and will not let the pedal go down?

Does your master cyl have a bolt in it that needs to be undone to allow piston to centralise.
