Does the dash (not the part with spedo ect) the bit that has the glove box , be removed in 1l i would like to paint it the colour of the exterior of the car with the rest of the inside being a different colour. and would aslso make it easier to get to the fire to paint it.

Take off the screen clips (if it's soft top) take off the end caps - 2 screws in the top and a few along the bottom at the front - Done - The cluster is just 2 screws a 2 clips at the front/top.

That is the metal dash with the plastic ends.

Ive got that bit off i mean the metal part that runs vertically along the front of the cab, has hole for glove box and for sterring coloum ect, have seen it removed when painting before but mine seams to be spot welded.

Mine is also welded in. I covered mine in vinyl, but had to do it in situ

Yes all the ones I have seen are spot welded in.
