Hey guys I am asking for experienced feedback on the LARGEST possible tyre size for a jimny. Don't care if need to chop the shit out of anything it's really not a worry. Please some experienced advice on max size and what has to be done to fit them before I shell out the hard earned on some decent rubber. Oh and yes I know reduction gearing will be needed mine should arrive from trial jimny shortly. Thoughts please guys as I am so sick of dragging my diffs in ruts made by 35,s etc. Really need all the diff clearance I can get!

Jimny front diff wont really like anything bigger than 33s...
Mudmuncher runs 34x10.5s but he is breaking CVS a fear bit from memory tho.
What size reduction gears did you get ? 24%? Do you have lockers?
I think it was Joeblow that said if you jack the front up from the middle you can see the diff bow. So bracing the diff may also want to be part of "putting bigger tyres on" IMO.
Maybe do a diff shave aswell to to get maximum clearance to...

no lockers as yet but they are on the short list front and rear. 24% reduction gears are in transit as we speak, 3" jimnybits lift fitted yesterday and WOW is all I can say, Awesome suspension kit! I got the AVO fully adjustable shocks and my ride went from painfully harsh with the smallest bump to full plush and soaks up EVERYTHING! Flex is great but haven't really had a chance to play without sway bar and different setting yet... Highly impressed and worth every cent! Also have a 2" body lift sitting in the garage if needed but don't want to raise the centre of gravity to much if un nessecary. If I start breaking cv joints will buy chromoly ones from trialjimny. Diff bracing... Anyone know where I can get a kit from or who does this?

Diff brace kit can be had from off-road armoury.
24% reduction gears arent really enough for 33s...more suited to 31s...but fro memory you jimny is auto? Might be able to sneak 33s on and still have it drivable on road - personally I would of gone for a Sierra t-case cus you have a bigger choice of gear sets to.choose from and the t-case isn't made of cheese like the chain drive transfer.
As for cromos, forking out $1800 for them is crazy. Custom made sets are been made currently for $1000. Mine are up for sale...pm I'd your keen.
You will need a body lift or some large extended bumpstop for 33s - possibly both.
If I was you I would be going 31/32s, diff shave, locked f&r and cromo front. I would like to build another jimny but, I would do things very different and not was my time with the jimny front diff....

I can't keep my CV's together with 235s...
I'm going to try 31s, but with keeping it so low will be hard to get enough clearance in the front.
Say goodbye to your head light bucket...
