Just cut the turret off and fit another one. The base of the pillars looks OK in the pics.

OR

Body swap for another tintop or softtop.

Or you could cut the roof off and do a full cage and softtop

I was thinking of using one from a soft top-the drop down one that has the two point bolt system? Same measurements I think ? I did sourced one today but the bloke wants 110 and it's dented.. Told him he was dreaming!

The cowel at the base of the winscreen is completely different.

Honestly, it will be a million times easier to just buy a soft top tub.

Yep.

And you can do that in 5 mins with a soft top tub.

A chopped hard top tub will not have a fold down windscreen frame ( unless parts are taken from a soft top tub), It will not have a removable B-pillar ( unless large sections of a soft top tub are retrofitted into the hartop body), and it will not have the hinges, or suitable rear door ( unless parts are taken from a soft top tub and retrofitted)

IMO, the ONLY!!!! solution is to buy a soft top tub. That hardtop body is toast. Converting a hardtop body is akin to making mountains out of mole hills.
