Hey y'all,

I bought a 91 vitara (2-door hardtop JLX) and when it rains i'm getting water pooling in the 'boot'/under the rear passenger seat and it seems to trickle down and also pool up under the front driver seat. Is this a common problem?

I'm pretty sure it's coming from the bottom left hand side of the back door, I haven't had much of a poke around to try and fix it but in the interim any suggestions would be great, thank you.

I'm not aware of them being out previous to me owning it but I've only just gotten the car, the brackets which the back seats clip into and also have the seatbelts atached to are rusted fairly badly; I need to get some pictures.

Is that what you are talking about?

Blocked air con drain pipe can flood front foot well, as can blocked drains under wind shield.
As for the rear, door seals or window seals, also roof gutters can direct water the wrong way.
Leaks can be hard to find.

sorry for a semi thread hijack but where are the drain holes for the windshield.. does that involve removing the black plastic grill-like thing at the bottom of the windscreen?

I just blew the dead leaves out at the servo.
Wasn't my problem though, it was my air con pipe
