Hey guys, having a noob day
Ive done the rebuild on my wt case, right up to putting the last housing on. I dont want to fit it until i have fitted a right-angle threaded barb to the case for a breather hose.
My question is, does the "nipple" that is on these cases pop out at all? Looking from the inside it looks like it should, but i dont want to hack at it unless i know for sure.
Or do people just drill the hole out a bit and tap it from there?
Once you pull off the cap and the spring underneath it there is a small aluminium piece with the lip on it pulls out completely. It is a sort of force fit in the casing. After that is removed you can tap directly into the case.

what he said. it stops the oil flicking up into the breather. was easy to remove with vicegrips, it gripped the soft metal well. i just wanted confirmation it actually came out, cos it practically destroyed it.
