What is the wire on the power steering pump for? Both the vitara and jimny pump have a wire hanging off them, I'm assuming it is for an error code or something but just checking if I need to hook it up to power for the pump to work in a sierra?

Its just for an idle up. Not required to get it up and running

My revs pick up if I turn hard or sharp.
