I'm thinking about getting a hiclone for my sierra.just wondering are they worth what they are made out to be.

Yep you'll get an extra 40hp too if you add snake oil to your motor!

No, they are nothing but a gimmic. Some will say the condition the flow but when you think of the air path and what it goes through any "swirl" effect is long gone by the time it get to where it would count. The restrict flow, yes only a tiny amount but they still do.

Not sure where the recommend to fit them on a Zook but it's not going to improve the fuel atomisation or increase air flow.

blinker fluid, lubricates the flasher can that makes you indicators flash.

it reduces the friction caused by the indicator flashing so it means less power is used to make them flash. therefore more power for going forward Armsup

Alternator doesn't draw as much power from then engine thereby allowing more to be sent to the wheels

Mate the hiclones are silly, to be strait foward. you would be MUCH better off with a snorkel, some nice clean cool air is all you need.

I found my sierra ran hotter on the snake oil, but it was better when i ran cam splints :wink:

did you have to adjust your powerband to suit the cam splints or is it the new self learning adjustable powerband?

Ive heard putting a bonnet with a power bulge on increases the HP 8% too. Im thinking about making mine bigger!

A few days after i bought Kate's GV i was looking through the service history book and the silly old fart that bought it new had a hiclone fitted :lol:
I've been meaning to look for it to take it out but i keep forgetting about it :roll: where do they put them?

did a bit of a google & came across another example, it's called the bundy hi-clown & claims a 640% power increase.

Dont use the whole Snake. It locks the throttle on.
