get a quote from natrad. I was going to buy an ebay rad but found out natrad was close enough in price to justify. Plus it comes with warranty and they're known to be good.

good question,, the older style are (bigger)32mm core copper, so im wondering if thats a better option?
most radiator shops want around $350 for a big 3 core radiator..
or just under $200 to rebuid the std one, but they still use your original plastic tanks, so a new rad of
ebay is only around $170

I have an ebay radiator ( from seller: 4wd_products) It has plastic tanks top and bottom and an alloy core. Seems pretty well made, same dimensions as the std one. It is made by the people who do AllCrashParts which do all the replacement panels for panel beaters etc. Temp gauge sits in the same spot that it always did but i guess thats not a very good indication of the quality anyway. My zook is not a daily so i wasn't too fussed about it being alloy. The copper ones do dissipate heat better but if the rest of your cooling system is in good condition then it shouldn't make much difference.
BTW i have vit power steer in my zook. The new rad had a slightly different drivers side mount so actually fitted around the steering box better too.

Ive been delivering radiators to radiator shops for 4 years, the aftermarket radiators fround on ebay are the same sold at red devil, wrecking yards, mechanics and smaller radiator shops. You dont have to go plastic/alloy built radiators, they still make brass/copper ones from new.

I replaced mine with an ebay jobbie and its been fine. Plastic and alloy, but at less than $200 I can get another one if it ever fails.
I also don't need any more efficiency as even when on a trip it never gets past 1/4 on the temp gauge. I did the entire system at the same time though, all heating/cooling hoses, thermostat and housing, cap, water pump timing kit and gaskets.
Cost me about $360 in parts with a mixture of ebay and suzistore.

Not too sure what happened to my post but here it goes again....

I took mine to Natrad to get it "flushed" and cleaned properly which set me back $140 only to have the temp guage still come to just over half on long drives and hot days.

Brought an eBay one from Cars R Us for $150 (thanks to MrRocky's suggestion and post/thread he put here)....fitted it and it was nearly a perfect fit (just had to make 2 new holes which was very easy)
The temperature has never even got to half and thats when we had really hot days here in Perth (over 40*C) and i was in the dunes all day....if anything it actually runs too cool (that's with a thermostat)

For what it's worth.....those eBay radiators are great and will last for at least 2-3yrs

IMPORTANT - Read the instructions they come with....it explains how and why some radiators fail and how to check for potential problems like stray currents etc

$400 for a giant custom rad delivered.

I have nothing but the very best of things to say about this guy.
