HI Guys,

I have just bought a 2nd hand ARB bullbar model number 3424020, and unfortunately it won't bolt straight onto my 09 Jimny.

After reading Tim80z's post about a similar issue he had, I now know I need a new model mounting kit (6172495).

I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get one of these/ If anyone has one they are wanting to get rid.

Failing that, I guess i'll be looking to sell the bar... Would prefer to mount it though.

Thanks for your time and any help.

Ak

Call ARB and they will sell you the correct mounting kit. It's that simple.

Why don't your ring them tommorow instead of waiting for some one to ask for you?

Yeah understand what you mean :D, But as stated im in no rush waiting on my lift kit from jb first and then will have to wait for time to install them before i can put the bar on.
but when it comes to the week or 2 before it all happens then I will make a call, So if i can find out in the mean time by not having to wait for back and forth calls from arb then im stoked ha ha ha untill I have to order them lol :D

What he said, because he knows what he's talking about. :hey:

My fit kit came from ARB and cost me $195.00. Took a few weeks for it to come in so it might be worth ordering earlier than you need it.

Even with the newer fit kit the bar itself still fouled on the little bracket on the end of the chassis rails. I've just updated the thread from when I went through this drama with some pictures of the completed install.

Thanks for all the input guys, and for the updated pics Tim. Yep, called into Arb today (after emailing them the issue) and ordered the new mounting kit. As you said, will take a couple of weeks to get here, And a bit of modding will need to be done. Am seriously contemplating paying the $135 to get them to install it, so I know it's done right (my dad and I doing this could have potentially disasterous effects...)

Again, thanks for the comments/advice as per usual, really helpful!
Cheers
