Okay straight to the point. Me and my best mate has traveled 2.5hrs to Brisbane to out a alt in his bro Jimny. After been told from racq it was alt we put in mine from my Jimny. Got down here put it all in and headed straight for home. Lost them in the city. He rang and said the car has died. No engine lights or nothing what could it be

Just nothing at all. We have a spare battery. We'll try that

its a small city and its dead on a sunday, so shouldnt take long.
check to make sure the alternator plug isnt damaged and the cable is fine and everyhting is wired up properly, ie, the erath.
throw the other battery in, if it still wont turn over, i would be looking at the starter.
check all the fuses.
if it will turn over but wont strart, its a fuel problem, pop a fuel line off an injector and see if its pissing fule when it turns over, if it isnt work backwards, fuel pump, blocked/damaged line, filter in the tank.
find him and get back to me, i feel like im contributing in a helpful way!

use some leggings, panties etc etc, or just go to the servo and they have belts on the wall, find one near enough and adjust the tensioner, should get it home.

I'm fine no coffee for me. I'm young and fit. 3hrs sleep and I'm good as gold. Makes a slow day at work though.
He just bought the car. The belt was really old and britle.. Was going to break sooner or later, just had to be when he's 2.5hrs from home. Racq road assist, didn't give a shot that wouldn't help us.

Ah so no coffee, just battery acid drinks for you then?

yeah ive heard some rippers about racq in the past. my mate just told me they left his wife on the side of a dodgy road at 1130pm waiting for a tow truck for a hour or 2 as they didnt have a radiator hose for her car. which she already told them was busted over the phone with details of model etc BEFORE they sent the bloke out, he was like "oh your hose is busted i dont have that, seeya"

Im considering cancelling my membership for my missus but i dont wanna risk it when i work away from home. but if thats the level of service....

anyway sorry to go OT just then. BTW i laughed at your superior spelling of Urgent. /end grammar nazi
