Hi guys, I have a mate flying up this weekend and he is going to do the loom for my GTI conversion. I am just wondering what part of the sierra loom needs to come out ? The motor section of the wiring uncouples on the passenger side behind the glove box. Is it just that section ? or the whole lot behind the dash. Excuse me if its a silly question. I have the GTI loom ready to go just trying to make his job a little quicker. TIA

From my understanding you leave the loom that sits inside the body, the loom that goes into the engine bay and does all ya lights and the rear lights and fuel sender stuff. With the GTI loom ya leave all the engine essentials and ECU side stuff. If you have a cut down loom 'ready to go', you would only have to splice into the stock sierras power feed and accessories power. I think from memory it's Black with a yellow stripe and black with a white stripe prospectively.
I may be wrong but i've installed a g16b coil pack motor into my sierra using a loom that was 'ready to go' and that's all I had to do. The engine runs as a standalone thing from the sierra loom and only required power and accessories power to run.
I hope this helps.
