G16 is 25mm bigger diameter
G16 Flywheel is bigger, as well as being a lot thicker and heaver
G16 throwout and the way it activates is pretty similar to 1.3 ones
depending on which sierra one you have the spigots interchange and I think the splines may be similar
I dont think you could sneak a 1.6 flywheel and clutch into a sierra bellhousing though

So the clutch plate (eg, the one with the friction material on it) is 25mm bigger as well as the flywheel? Considering when you do a 1.6 swap into a Sierra the starters interchange, I thought that the flywheel would be the same overall diameter.

Ahhh that will explain it. So using the 1.6 flywheel wont work unless you use the 1.6 transmission.
What about the tranny input splines? I've never seen a Vit manual in the flesh before.
