:helloo: guys,

I would like to do a rear disk conversion on the jim. I have seen a few conversion kit's but can't seem to find much info about the kit's. There is the http://www.zanfi.it/modules.php?name=ca ... cts_id=987 kit bit hard to under stand some of that site  so i would say that's a no go and there also the Giz kit, but i can not find any info on that at all, so pretty much use less to me :( .

Now, is there any reason the sierra 'benT' kit won't work? The only difference on the diff side of thing's i can think of are the width's of the rear diff on jimny compared to a sierra right?

Also would i have issue with the ABS? :? and what could i do for a hand break?

Cheers,

Andrew.

Yeah, a handbrake would need to be added to the list. I thought that Sierra and jimny's essentially ran the same brakes. So I'm guessing that if Sierra and jimny's have the same brake shoe and pad numbers then it would work on assumption...

With this logic, would 4door vit brakes fit the front of a Jim? Ala the common Sierra swap???

Disconnecting ABS is bad mmmmkay? Surely theres rear discs/calipers off another vehicle that have a speed sensor sorted out already that will bolt on?

The JML floater kits use a handbrake adapter on the discs, so everything works as normal as far as that is concerned.

i think i would be avoiding doing this on an ABS capable vehicle.

Sounds a little like playing with fire to me.

In regard to swapping front rotors on Jimnys, the VVT models have a larger centre hole so most other Zuke rotors won't suit a front upgrade/swap.
