yeah lights over the windscreen like that do cause a bit of glare you might be able to make a bit of a deflector or something that goes under the lights

yeah there is a bit of glare but you really only use it for the slow, technical driving so it isnt that bad. i have taken mine off now and dont know if could be bothered putting it back on

down the inside of the drivers door frame. it was positioned in a gap so the door didnt actually touch it even with the door closed. crappy suzuki engineering is good for something

keep in mind its literally like the second time i have used my welder, haha.
it woulda worked but i think 1 of the brackets is in more than it should be.. so the holes dont line up with the car..

when you're welding mate.... i presume its a stick welder.... (possibly a flock of sea gulls....)
make sure you are feeding the rod into the weld, not just holding it on the outside. you have a lot of slag build up on top of your weld and it looks like you have bugger all penetration.
try upping your amps a little and make sure you feed the rod into the weld as you move along.

yeah i know all the "theory" behind welding, but as you can see im shit, haha.
its like reading lots of porn mags but being crap @ sex.... hang on, thats not me, just an analogy. honest..
im just gonna have 2 give welding some more practice. probably cut the thing apart & give it another go. re-think my approach.

it took me years to get good at stick welding, then i got mig and was shit again because it's different. and just when you think you've mastered it, you do a big crappy weld
so yeah, just keep doing it

also, make sure your using decent quality arc rods. The crap cheap ones make it bloody hard to weld with, especially if your just starting out. Even better, get a mig welder, heaps easier to pick up on

Also dont be afraid to bevel the edge with a grinder, or put a gap in between the 2 pieces. My welds always seem to be better when I prep the joints like that.
