Helloo good peoples of AUSZOOKERS, I am hoping that one of you smart people may have come across a noise like this one before. We thought it may have been from the front shaft. The slip joint has some movement but have seen much worse. Any way we have fitted a new slip yolk but have not tried it yet. Transfer has no metal in oil. Give it a listen and tell us what you think. BTW this is in Zookenator's bus.

Thanks Jon!! Your a champ The drivers side cv has been clicking on full lock.. but its still working. When it happens, the vehicle "shudders". The unis havent been binding up.. im running late model lux unis which have plenty of travel. Like Jon mentioned, the transfer is fairly new still.. 6.5:1 from low range off road. It hasnt got the heavy duty front output shaft. Drained the transfer oil.. no signs of metal (thank god) Spring bushes are still fairly new.. replaced them when i did the conversion. I thought it was the front shaft, as it had heaps of slop in the slip yolk. If i left the hubs in.. and went down the road (>50 kph for eg).. it would start getting this real horrible slapping noise from the slip yolk! Jon has fixed the shaft up for me, will be putting it back in t'row and trying it.
