So I've read all the threads on tyres and suspension I could find that related to Jimnys and also made some calculations/guess work and just wanted to get some of your opinions.
My current setup consists of OME 40mm lift which has obviously sagged in the front from the weight of my bar and winch, and standard tyres.
I'm also about to upgrade to 235/75r15 MTs.
I want to keep this as low as possible at the same time, and my main query would be:
1) do I need to raise it anymore to fit the 235's? (from what I've calculated it would be the same with 40mm lift as what 215's would be in stock form?)
2) upgrade the front springs to the 40mm tough dog hd and keep the OME in the back (I like how they are soft offroad)
3) upgrade all springs to the tough dog 40mm, or any other recommendations.
I'm trying not to spend a shitload on all new suspension as the current setup is less than 12 months old but I'm pretty open to opinions... And probably a slamming from some people for stupid questions lol
Cheers Timmy

1 - you dont need to raise it to fit the 235 .... I have run 235 on 50mm and now on 75mm lift. They fit much nicer on the higher lift and look alot more in proportion (well I beleive it was 50mm but am unsure on exact lift as it was in the car when I purchased it) you can see pics in my build thread.
2 - Up to I am of the beleif you should run same brand all round. No actual science behind it or anything like that. Just something I do
3- sping spacer? Just to level it out out. You can sell your springs to help pay for your new ones. Check out jimny bits.. Pricing is good.
Remember if you go above 50mm lift feom stock then you you will need adjustable panhards rods, some form of castor correction, brake hoses and a wider offset rim( rim is not nevessary but it feels more stable running them)

EFS 50mm springs in the front. Cut the the ARB bar to clear the 235's and pick your rim off set wisely . There was a jimny in here that had 235's and not lift also 89_tintop was running 30x9.5 with 2" of lift
EDIT: You beat me mr tintop

Thanks for the input guys! As far as the spring spacers go, I'm 90% sure they're illegal here so I'd rather steer clear of them. I could always try the TD up front and see how it goes I suppose, but glad to hear I don't need to go higher than 40mm
Monkey am I correct in remembering you saying you ran 15x7 with -13 offset?

Drew has 15x7 with 0 off set and get not scrubbing, just had to remove the bolt in the lower part of the flare and trim the bar up

Black alll the way.
With a 7 inch rim and 0 offset rim the tie rod end is only a bees dick away from the rim ..
When I got the 235 they were on a 6inch rim with 0 offset. They sat nice on the rim and there was good clearance between the rim and tierod.
