hey guys,

just got an 89 sierra and was going to do a leaf over diff suspension lift, but after further reading have decided against it.

i was thinking of 2" suspension kit and then do a 2" body lift.

any other ways to do it ? also, will i need spacers/brake lines with that body lift ?

thanks for help in advance

would like to run 31" but thinking of going 30" due to low amount of power (even with bigger carb) and no funds for gears yet. . . maybe the 2" lift kit with 2" drop shackles ?

30-31's with no gearing remedy is useless offroad and painful on road.

scrap the drop shackle idea.
just keep at all simple.
i run 40mm lifted springs with 31''s, no scrubbing. stock gears.
its pretty flat up here but its not to bad.
i drove from brisbane to sydney, sydney to tumut (past canberra)
tumut to dubbo, dubbo to brissy, brissy to darwin with this combo and as dan states, its ghey without gears, but not entirely useless.
the best advice when i got into zooks and had crazy spoa ideas and what not is.... "keep it simple, stupid"
get a decent set of leaves and shocks, gets some gears and tires, save for some lockers and just enjoy wheeling.
