I this topic has been covered 8 times a day, every day for the last 37 years, but not in this configuration.

Sierra
40mm leafs
Stock rims
Stock gearing

What size muddies can I go and still have a capible low range?

Cheers :)

I had 225/75R15's on my old hardtop with flat springs and it had good low range still.

You can put 235/75/15 on stock rims no probs,
But I have 15/7" rims (wanted more offset)
But 225/75/15 (28") proby better with the
1.3 carb, that's want useto run on stock rims
before I did the Motor upgrade and they
pretty good man, still good lowrange

KL71 in 215/75r15... above 215's you need gearing IMO (or more torque, like a 1.6 conversion).
