I've got 3 tape measures but still always seem to be looking for one.

It helps to have a 'home' for them, but you still have to make sure you put them back!!!

It's just made from a piece of galv strap.

Put one of tohse in the engine bay and one under the car and you'll be sorted lol. Does anyone else take a drive the first time after a mod and wonder which tool made that metallic clang bouncing off into the distance behind you? I often find 12 or 14 mm ring spanners stashed in a nook of my engine bay months after a "mod sessions"

i wouldnt know yet hybrid.......

the clangs i hear are only from my spanners dropping a metre to the ground :(

but i do have troubles finding sockets......... they usually end up trapped under a tyre out of sight and can only be found after you get that pain in the arse nut off with the ring spanner

I did a similiar thing. They are all like new except for one in particular, the case is smashed and half missing so all inside is exposed from when i ran over it, it doesn't retract properly, the markings are worn off in places and generally the whole thing is stuffed.

Now, when i need a tape measure and go looking for one, i can only ever find one of them, guess which one.

Damo I've just noticed a trend in your posts. you;ve posted like 7 times in this fab section and only the first one was actually vehicle based. The rest are based around tools. Shouldn't you be posting on the snap-on or homes and garden forums.... :thefinger:

On my old honda accord i bought years ago(my 1st car)

I once found a 15/16 spanner not mine inbetween the aircon condenser and radiator..

I still have it somewhere. But my garage sounds like pubics
