edit:
I'v sorted the dizzy/coil wiring but i just want to check the wiring of the alternator with you guys.
I removed the external voltage reg as i'v installed a sierra alternator on the f10a. This is what i have done to the regulator plug to by-pass it.
I'v then connected the green/white wire to 'L' on alternator and the black/white wire to ignition on the alternator.
can someone please confirm this for me . I want to make sure it's all right before i try and fire it up.
thanks

What wires do i connect to the coil and what wires do i connect to the 2 wires coming out of the dizzy?
any help would be great guys , i want to suss out all this stuff before i get the front clip on. Also i'm still unsure about the alternator wiring as posted above

Ok this is all the information I can try to give you.
Alternator 'L' im pretty sure goes to the charging lamp behind the dash. The other one should be the voltage sense wire. Sense wire should be live ie battery voltage once the ignition is on.
Electronic dizzy has two wires coming out. Think the black goes to coil negative and brown to coil positive. For the rest of the coil all you need is an ignition source to the coil positive as the coil will be switched to ground through the electronic dizzy housing to engine block. The only other thing that could connect to coil negative is a tacho.
Anyone confirm? That's all I got.
Dan

Do you have a test light? I do not know the LJ diagram but with a test light it would be fairly easy to confirm what is what on your plug.
Firstly disconnect those jumpers and test both the N and F pins of the plug. To do this connect the test light to one of them and the other side of it to ground with the ignition on. Either of them should light up the test light but one will be duller than the other. The dull one should correspond to the charge light on the dash which should also be dully lit upon testing.

See my build first page about half way down may help? As mine is a Sj40 originally, now has an EL Falcon 110amp Alt in it but can't remember what each wire is connected to at the Alt just fire it up! if the light stays on the dash just swap the two on the Alt the other way round, then you'll be all done. Just make sure it's charging! If not check your wiring on the female plug running to the reg make sure it's the same as mine as this has been proven by me and many others on this forum, and a special cherio to christover for the original reg diagram!
Here's my build up.
