I just bought some Air Horns, to replace the pissy little duck quack, stock horn, and want to use the horn wiring to activate the relay for the air horns, but i cant find where the stock horn is... any body know ?

And, i have noticed that the level of the Hydraulic Clutch fluid has dropped some to about mid level, the little one next to the brake master cylinder i assume is for the clutch, just wondering what kind of fluid i need to get, to top it up ?

Cheers :D

Couldn't you just use one of the wires from the horn itself??

I 'THINK' clutch fluid is similar/same as brake fluid :? Could be wrong. Don't really play with clutches all that much, the coily is the first manual I have owned

You can run it directly off the horn but it won't be as loud.

And clutch fluid is brake fluid. Was in my pajero anyway.

horns are between the radiator and grill on the drivers side. And yes you can use the existing wires to trigger the relay.

How the hell can you say this and then claim 100w globes are fine in a sierra with stock wiring?

mac, GV's already use a relay for the horn, once you find the horns and unplug them, press the horn button and youll hear it clicking, I doubt youll notice an improvement with another relay.

and yes brake fluid for the clutch master, however it is something that shouldnt be used up and the level shouldnt really ever drop too much so it would be wise to have it checked for leaks.

Stick your head under your dash and look at where the clutch peddal connects the clutch master,,, They commonly start to weap.

Theres a little rubber boot that the pushrod goes through and covers clutch master cylinder. Pull the boot back a little and you'll see if fluid is leaking from there.

In mine thats where it was leaking from, the inside of the boot, and dripping down behind the carpet! Would never have noticed it otherwise.

Ahhh ok, sounds easy... so the standard horn relay would be ok to run air horns that pull 10 to 15amps ?

Ok, brake fluid it is... yeah, i kinda figured it shouldnt really use any at all... i will do a check for leaks... i am going to get a new clutch fitted pretty soon, so as long as it doesnt loose it rapidly, i will top it up for now, and keep an eye on it... cheers :D
