Hey guys i picked up some swift gti seats the other day and the map pockets were pretty crap (looks like a foot went through one) bodgey repairs done in the past - so i thought why not make up some new panels/pockets

the seat back with the pocket removed

new environmently friendly australian made masonite board - there ya go greenies done my part

so next is to go buy some thin foam and grey vinyl - bought a nice staple gun today for the upholstery

this sat i'll pick up the other bits and pieces and finish off the pockets. stay tuned

cool also use some contact adhesive for your material

yeah i am using contact adhesive for the foam and staple the back edges of the vinyl also

got some foam and vinyl today only cos $20 so i was happy with that

then started the covering process

made up a map pocket on each

and the final product

for a total of about $40 i have made new map pockets from scratch and i think these look better than the original item
