Hey bud the engines are pretty much identical, g13a is 1324cc g13b is 1298cc Blocks are the same, but you'll have to change the cam shaft as the barina g13a is direct drive not right angle drive for the distributer and will most likely hit the firewall, you'll also probably have to change the sump pan aswell, other than that it should bolt straight in and use ur origional inlet manifold Carby and exhaust,
enjoy

to give you the correct information now:
the g13a out of an 87 model barina uses the same camshaft as the sierra , so no worries there , they only changed the camshaft in 1989.
also need to change the sump and the oil pickup tube

you need to change the sump, distributor, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, water pump (or run an electric fan), alternator and crank pulley (alternator will need a spacer if you want to run the barina one) and you will have to do something about the fuel pump. The barina runs an electric pump, you either need to put the old one on or an electric pump. Motor mounts are different as well obviously.

once again , the early barina used the same water pump as sierra's , the alternator is also the same , you guys are talking about the later barina's from 1989 onwards when everything changed , it also used the same fuel pump as the sierra , but with different sized pipes , only the 1989 onwards models used the electric fuel pump driven by the current from the alternator.

for fucks sake if i hear anymore crap in this thread im gonna off myself
the "B" series is used in many vehicles , the designation changes though , if you look above the gearbox on any "B" series engine , it will just say G13B. it will only show the actual designation of the block on the actual engine number , be it g13B or g13BA or G13BB.. the "B" is the crankshaft designation , the other letter is designated to ancillery mounting points on the block

As Above^
And you will need to swap the oil pick up as well, I had to swap over the water pump neck that runs back from the water pump to, also on your water pump the bolt holes for the fan will not line up either, but you can run a thermo fan or try swapping the water pump or put a new sierra one on? depending which way you go with this the other pulleys will or won't need to be swapped. but either way your alternator pulley won't work with the multi groove belt set up from the Barina but it's a perfect time to swap to an EL Falcon 110amp Alternator (Use the Search Button on here there are plenty of threads on this!)
you'll also need to use all your sierra carby, intake manifold and exhaust on the new block as barina is way different to, one last thing you have no choice but to run an elec fuel pump as stated further up the page
hope this helps?
Robb.

Use a gun. That way it will be a quick death and you won't have to suffer this thread anymore.
