we started with the winch and built the bar around that. its strong and its never gonna bend.

it looks good how did you do the bends i bought a hydralic bender and when you try to bend 2" with it it just kinks and folds

that really is a nice bar BFT, lots of times they end up looking like a setsquare on a sierra
have you thought about replacing the rollers with a hawse block or making up your own out of some steel rod?

try thicker pipe, 3mm is ok but the thicker it is the better it seems to bend. For some reason i find that gal pipe seems to bend better than the same size black pipe, maybe it slips in the die a little better.

if i ever go to plasma rope i might replace the rolers. total cost to make bar was less than $900 and that included the ebay winch. But it does help having a mate that is a wizard with making stuff with steel.

yeh we used a hand hydrolic bender. you can see the small dents where the rolers were but they will get filled up and repainted so they dont show. One day when i remove the bar i might do it.but dont hold ya breath.

One day when i remove the bar i might do it.but dont hold ya breath. to stop the dents get a 100mm length of pipe a little bigger than the one u r bendind, split it in half and put it between the roller and the pipe ur bending. dosent always work, but helps a lot

I made this up yesterday with Bolsy from Patrol4x4 and OL.
Still needs paint, new lights and some gussets near the recovery points.
