Haha... ossielocal beat me to it.
I'll be starting some sliders shortly too. Different approach though. I'm going to be slicing off all the plastic (flares, door sills) to be level with the plastic on the doors. The sliders will be made from 75mm sq. section tube which I'll have left over from a deck I'm building. I'll be cutting a section of it out and welding it back in upside down to create a recessed step.
The finished sliders will sit about 5mm below the sheet metal lip of the sills.
I'm keen to see how other auszookers have made their chassis mounts. Please feel free to post pics of your mounts in this thread.
Below is the photoshop rough

will look the goods man for sure.
Should be good to get all that added strength while sacrificing such little clearance (I have seen how much you like to test out your sills!)

Yeah they are brilliant.
Here's a few more pic's.
Looks as though they are bolted to the chassis, but I guess you could do clamps so you are not welding/drilling the chassis.
Here's the build up on some finland 4x4 forum.
Pretty epic build.

You can still BL with the sort of airbags the jimnys have, i read on a thread on here, (not sure which one), the jimny's have g-force or impact airbags or some thing like that, which means you can still BL. Alot of guys in the UK BL airbagged jimny's with no trouble to date. There is also a 2010 Jimny in perth that have been BL with 31's. Edit i found the thread: steak_knife wrote: steak_knife wrote: just_cruizin wrote: Steve you could probably answer this question. Are the Airbay sensors G force activated or impact activated. You can legally fit body lift to vehicles fitted with G force activated airbags as they aren't effected. The new hilux has this setup and quite a few are fitted with BL's
Impact I think, will look into it, but 99.9% sure impact.. Both Mr Just, has 2 impact sensor's behind the front bumper & a g force sensor IN the module..

Discovered GoogleSketchup... Very cool. Anyway have been playing around with mounting points, here's my first SketchUp effort.
Oh yeah this is only conceptual and nothing is measured yet so don't be telling me that it's too, long, fat, thin, high, low.

That's a sweet Jimny build. almost makes me want to build one.
Still too tall and nowhere near enough tyre, but cool nonetheless.
